 An eight-year federal grand jury investigation entitled “Operation Gabriel”, looked into criminal activities being committed by members of the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club. Their collaborative efforts resulted in persuading ten former Hell’s Angels members, and more than 100 victims and witnesses, to testify against Hell’s Angels members concerning criminal activities within the Club. The operation culminated in the arrest of four leaders of the Illinois Hell’s Angels organization on racketeering and narcotics charges. All four leaders pled guilty and received prison sentences.
